Open Positions

Welder (2nd Shift)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reads and interprets blueprints and/or drawings to determine the specific fit-up and welding requirements.
  • Operates forklifts and overhead cranes to handle and move materials
  • Obtains required configurations and positions for welding such as clamping, holding, tack-welding, heat-bending, grinding and/or bolting component parts.
  • Chips or grinds off excess weld, slag, or spatter, using hand scrapers or power chippers, portable grinders, or arc-cutting equipment.
  • Removes rough spots from work pieces, using portable grinders or scrapers.
  • Welds components in flat or vertical positions.
  • Adheres to blueprints or diagrams related to welding projects.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Experience and Requirements:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Or two years equivalent combination of education and experience.

Product Support Representative

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Travels in the field to perform training for both the dealer network and end users regarding the safe operation, application and maintenance and repair of all NPK/Paus products.
  • Assists in the investigation, mediation and resolution of service, operation and repair issues related to the NPK/Paus products.
  • Assists in rental return inspections at NPK and make repairs or rebuilds as needed.
  • Test the repaired equipment for proper performance.
  • Visits dealers and end users on a regular basis to continue to foster a strong relationship between NPK/Paus and these entities.
  • Participates in NPK/Paus demonstrations.
  • Participates in the testing and monitoring of test units in the field, reporting the results to the engineering department as required.
  • Deals with situations and individuals that are in distress due to issues with the NPK/Paus products, possibly caused by non-NPK/Paus factors. Resolves these issues in a positive manner.
  • Assist in providing input on warranty decisions with the product support manager.
  • Documents communication with dealers and end users using NPK service log system.
  • Recommends product and process improvements with NPK corrective action system.
  • Obey all MSHA and site safety rules.

Experience and Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED, College or Technical School preferred
  • 5 years of experience troubleshooting and repair of mining equipment
  • 5 Year diesel repair experience
  • 5 Year Hydraulic and Hydrostatic experience
  • 5 Year Electrical experience
  • MSHA Underground Certification
  • MSHA Electrical Card
  • Red Seal Certification preferred
  • Basic knowledge of Windows based programs
  • Travel may be required with very short notice — some being international
