Welder 2nd Shift

Superior, WI

Summary: Reporting to the Weld Shop Supervisor, the welder is responsible to operate and maintain welding tools and equipment in a safe and efficient manner to achieve the quality and production standards of the company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Layout, position, align and fit components into welding fixture as instructed. 
  • Set-up gas-shield mig-welder and weld parts to job specifications. 
  • Use basic understanding of blueprints and welding symbols to complete job assignment. 
  • Use hand tools, clamps, and grinders to perform job tasks. 
  • Complete basic maintenance on welding equipment. 
  • Other duties as needed and assigned

Skills/Knowledge/Experience/Education Required:

1. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 

2. One (1) year of related experience and/or training.

3. Good mathematical skills and ability to read tape measure and blueprints

4. Must have demonstrated skill level of wire feed (M.I.G.) welding.

5. Able to use an oxygen/acetylene cutting torch.

6. Ability to read and understand work order routings and instructions.

7. Able to work any shift 

8. Good work ethic

9. Willing to learn and take direction.
